Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson will be in Texarkana Thursday to meet with local leaders and hold his daily Covid-19 update from here.
The Governor announced that he would make the trip down to Southwest Arkansas at the end of his daily briefing this afternoon from the Capitol in Little Rock.
Texarkana Arkansas and Miller County numbers of confirmed Coronavirus have remained low, with the latest total showing only 35 confirmed cases and 27 recovered for a current case load of 8. Only one death has been attributed to Covid-19 in the county.
Local leaders have praised citizens actions and believe the public’s cooperation in Social Distancing and following the guidelines from the Miller County Emergency Operations Center and the Governor have kept the virus in check.
