Summer BBQ and Picnic Safety Tips

Summer is here and we want you to have a safe Fourth of July and enjoy yourself. Here are some important safety reminders.

Barb-B-Que Safety

Don’t leave food out in the sun for prolonged periods.
Use a cooler with plenty of ice or gel packs to keep perishable foods cool.
Wash your hands before and after you prepare.

If you are going to cook on a grill:

Always supervise the grill when in use.
Don’t add charcoal starter fluid when coals have already been ignited.
Never grill indoors — not in a house, camper, tent or any enclosed area.
Keep children and pets away from the grill.
Keep the grill out in the open and away from the house, deck, tree branches, or anything that could catch fire.
Use long-handled tools made for cooking on the grill.
