Texas and Arkansas Offering Online Driver License Appointment Scheduler

Good news for new drivers in Texas and Arkansas, it is about to get a lot easier to schedule your driver test online. Texas DPS remains closed but Arkansas will be “hitting the roads” today, May 4th.

Arkansas Drivers Test

Driver’s License skill exams will resume on 05/04/2020 at the following locations: Troop A (Little Rock), DL Temporary Test Site (Newport), Troop C (Jonesboro), Troop D (Forrest City), Troop E (Pine Bluff), Troop F (Warren), Troop G (Hope), Troop H (Fort Smith), Troop I (Harrison), Arkansas State Police Substation (Russellville), Troop K (Hot Springs), Troop L (Lowell).

You will be required to pre-register your vehicle. Contact your local Troop Headquarters, if Examiner fails to contact you before your appointment. Applicants will be required to wear a mask and each applicant will be pre-screened.

Texas DPS

Texas driver license offices remain closed, however, Texans will notice a change when drivers license offices reopen.

The Texas Department of Public Safety will be offering an appointment solution, offering the opportunity to schedule an appointment up to six months in advance. https://www.dps.texas.gov/DriverLicense/ScheduleTest.aspx

A lot of Texas drivers looking to renew or update their Texas driver’s license can quite possibly conduct transactions online or via phone. Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) encourages Texans to check the expiration date on their card and call 1-866-DL-RENEW (1-886-357-3639) or visit Texas.gov to see if they are eligible to conduct their transaction online.
