Texas Governor Gregg Abbott announced today that hair salons, barbershops, cosmetology shops, tanning salons, and nail salons can open this Friday May 8th.
There are restrictions which include social distancing and limitations on number of people in the businesses. These are recommended to be done by appointments.
The Governor also said that gyms and exercise facilities can open on May 18th provided they limit it to 25% capacity, maintain social distancing, and they must be properly sanitized.
Abbott says they are still working on plans on how to safely open bars in the state of Texas.
